Which DAQ devices support Hardware Offset nulling ?

Solved!
Go to solution

For acquiring strain gauges I need to perform offset nulling.

At this point we are looking at devices such as NI USB 9219 or NI 9237.Do these devices for instance support hardware offset nulling?

If not so, in what range are the expected disadvantages when using software nulling?

Hi,

maybe this KB gives some more insight.

How Does Offset Nulling in DAQmx work for the SCXI-1520, NI 9237, and the PXIe-433X? - National Instruments
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/76FB3F1EC361E64E8625742B0070A4E9

There is described how Offset nulling works and wich devices can perform it.

As you linked the DAQmx Help you can see that this is a software function in our newest devices.

Best wishes

Dennis
