Re-triggering 4 AO

Hello!

I'm in dire need of upgrading some of our controls.

Am looking at the NI PCIe-6353 for some fininte waveform output.

Is it possible to have each AO channel re-triggered upon an PWM output from a separate onboard counter?

One AO triggered by one Counter output, separate but all onboard.

Thank you for your time!

Have you had a chance to look through these?

How Can I Perform a Retriggerable Analog Acquisition with NI-DAQmx?

Bluntly, NO, you can't do that.  You can have 1 reserved / running AO Task per device.  You may have multiple AO Channels in an AO Task but, you can only reserve the clock resources on that device once.  I do belive it is the sample / conversion clock that is the hardware resource shared by the AO channels on the device.  Other, or different, shared hardware resources may also exist but the point is: any AO Task needs an exclusive lock on some hardware to run.

On The other hand, you can have as many AO tasks as you want in the "Verified" State.  This might offer you a path to what you want to do if only one of the Tasks needs to run at any given time.
