Howdy,
I am trying to create a trigger to a pulse generator by using a laser transistor and the USB-6212 DAQ.
The method is to use a 5 volt laser that is always on and pointing at a phototransistor which is sending the signal to the DAQ. A ball moves in between the laser and transistor, disturbing the signal and reducing the read voltage by a few millivolts.
I can currently read the signal and the drop when the ball moves through, what I would like the program to now do is to stop reading the signal, wait a few milliseconds, and generate a small output pulse (less than 5 volts) to another port.
I have attached the current code and a rough outline of what I am trying to create.
If anybody is willing to help, thank you. I am not sure if this is a good place for such a question as I am rather new.
