Not getting 5V at other end of cable after plugging in SH68-68-EPM cable into USB-6212

I am trying to troubleshoot a problem I am having.

I have a NI-USB-6212 box  and a SH68-68EPM cable.  The problem is it doesn’t
appear the digital I/O lines or the 5V lines are making it to the other end of
the cable that seemed to be functioning prooperly a week ago.

When I measure pin 8 and and pin 14 on the output connector of the NI-USB-6212
referenced to ground I read 5V. However when I plug the cable in and measure
pin 8 and pin 14 on the other end the cable I read 0V.

I did a pin to pin continuity check of those pins on the SH68-68-EPM cable and
there is continuity so I am confused to what is going on. I didn't measure any
obvious short between pin 8  and any other pin or  pin 14 with another pin either.  Perhaps there
is something subtle wrong with the cable?

The cable seemed to be functioning properly as of a week ago.

Any assistance or ideas would be appreciated.

I am using a windows XP machine Dell 3500 with USB 2.0 slots.  The green light on the front of the USB-6212 box blinks properly

Thanks

Dave

Is the connector fully seated and the jackscrews fully tightened? I had something similar happen when some equipment was moved, the jackscrews were not fully tightened and stress on the cable caused some of the connections between the DAQ and the cable to become open. -AK2DM

Yes, I've tried replugging the tightening the jack screws a numnber of times and have the same problem every time. That was one of the first things I checked.
