Need NI device driver CD mentioned during installing CVI7.1

Dear mr/mrs.

Our test-software is written with CVI5.01.
I am trying if I can use CVI7.1 without big changes.
On a PC with the CVI5.01 software I installed additionally the downloaded demo version CVI7.1
During making a executable with CVI7.1 I got some linking errors for example : Undefined symbol AI_VRead(....
which is used for a NI6071 PC daq card, which is NOT in the PC.
CVI 5.01 does not have a problem.
CVI 7.1 gives linking errors on all functions of the not installed NI6071 PC daq card.
I already found out that CVI7.1 generates more warning which I could solve.

During installation I was prompted to put the "National Instruments device driver" cd into the pc, which I do not have. Can I download this cd?

How to solve this problem?

Best regards,

Nico

Hi Nico,

The function call you indicate is a NI-DAQ call, what you need to do is install NI-DAQ support for CVI, This can be done using the Driver CD that ship with the Evaluation verion of the complete version of CVI. If you downloaded a evaluation you can also need to download the drivers that your appliction need. The driver CD's contain all our drivers, of which you probably only need NI-DAQ.

You can download our drivers from:
