NI DAQmx: nicrtsiu.dll not a valid Windows Image when using DAQmx functions

Hi all....

I had problem using Ni daqmx in Ni Labview..

When not using Ni DAQmx, I had no problem using it

When attepting to use one of NI Daqmx functions.

it popped up a message 

"The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\nicrtsiu.dll is not a valid Windows image

Please check this against your installation diskette".

Following are versions of the programs I am using.

- Win XP Pro 2002 SP3

- NI Labview 7.1

- NI DAQmx  8.5.0f3

- NI Max 4.2

I am baffled by this error
