NI-DAQ update causes hang when connecting to RDA server

I had NI-DAQ 7.0.1 running on two computers.
I'll call the two computers 'Server' and 'Client'.
'Client' was able to access the devices on 'Server'
fine with this configuration. However when I updated
to NI-DAQ 7.2 on both computers, labVIEW started to
hang. Whenever I opened any VI that uses a DAQ function
on 'Client', LabVIEW hangs for about a minute, then it
displays a message that a component is missing or a subvi could
not be found. After clicking 'OK' and waiting another minute
or so, the VI finally opens. I tried installing several different
versions (7.0,7.3) of NI-DAQ to resolve the problem but LabVIEW
continues to hang. I even reinstalled NI-DAQ 7.0.1 on both
computers and still
have the same problem. This leads me to
believe that updating NI-DAQ changes something in Windows registry
that doesn't get removed when I uninstall NI-DAQ.

I forgot to mention that 'Server' was running the RDA server, so my guess is that updating NI-DAQ changes some kind of a timeout when accessing the RDA server.

Hello,

I'm not able to find any information stating that reinstalling NI-DAQ should cause any problems with opening VIs when connecting over RDA. You mentioned that the VI eventually opens. Does it then work, or does it still give problems?

It is possible that something could have gone wrong during the uninstallation process, which would mean you would want to clean the registry keys on your machine. If this is something that you are interested in, I could provide you with a procedure that will take care of this.
