We have developped a nice laboratory control system consisting of digital, analog and DDS output boards hooked up to a common bus system driven by a NI6533 card. Our webpage provides free downloads of all the necessary manuals, circuit diagrams, circuit boards. We provide free software, which is also suitable for use with the NI67xx analog output cards. This system was developped for Bose-Einstein condensation experiments. It provides a cheap way to construct hundreds of 16 bit-analog outputs, digital outputs and direct digital synthesis (DDS) outputs. The boards already contain 50 Ohm drivers and have BNC outlets which make them suited for the control of laboratory electronics. The main drawback in comparison with NI products is that only one analog output (or 16 digital outputs) can be updated per bus cycle. But this might not be a disadvantage for many applications since the bus cycle time can be below one microsecond. Here is the link to our webpage:
