In order to use NI-DAQmx with LabVIEW 2010, you will need to use a compatible version of NI-DAQmx.  I recommend NI-DAQmx 9.3, the latest version.

Is this NI DAQmx required to run LabVIEW? Can we use LabVIEW without installation of NI DAQmx?

What's the use of NI DAQmx?

Of course it's not required for LabVIEW. It's required for DAQ devices from NI. There are numerous pages about DAQmx. Did you do any search?

Hi Sir

I'm using labview 2010 and DAQ 9.6.1

Yet, the daq assistant did not show.

I use win 7, 64bit. labview 2010 might be 32bit.

Thanks

Does it show up in MAX? Did you install it after LabVIEW?

It shows in MAX. Yes, I installed before labview

And as stated earlier, you did the installs in the wrong order. The DAQmx installer cannot install support for something that is not there.
