Hello everyone,
I have the following cable: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/fr/nid/201629
This cable is pluged onto a board which have a vertical D-sub connector from Tyco (2-5174339-5). I choose this connector because NI says that it is compatible (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/8ECF4BAD615F18BC8625648400521E97) and it is less expensive than the NI reference 777601-01
But This connector has no jackscrews and I can't screw the cable to my board.
I found this information from NI: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/43771DBD89FADB7B86256BC90053EC08
It looks like I can buy jackscrews. But is it compatible with my Tyco connector and the NI cable? Anyone has already tested this solution?

Hello MBD,
The Tyco 2-5174339-5 is used in several of our products, meaning that adding the jackscrews will not be an issue. Take a look at these two articles as well:

Hell,
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately the link you give me is for the screws on the PXI board (VSCI connector), not on the other side of the cable (D SUB connector)

MBD,
My appologies. I meant the documentation simply as a reference. You can also see from this (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/43771DBD89FADB7B86256BC90053EC08) that the jackscrews are M2.5. The datasheet for the D-Sub connector (http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1320221.pdf) shows that it will accept this screw type.

Hi MBD,
Where in the end did you buy the jack socket screws from?
It seems that it is very difficult to find jack socket screws with M2.5 screw and #2-56 socket.
