Hi All,

 

I have 16bit 6368-DAQ. I want to find the effective number of bits for DAQ. It had 4 ranges like +/-1,+/-2,+/-5,+/-10. To measure Effective number of bits for DAQ, first I am calculating SNR(SNR=6n+1.76) by keeping DAQ in +/-5 range and forcing a sinusoidal signal of 5v amplitude. I am getting 77.8dB of SNR and I am doing reverse calculation by the equation of 6n+1.76. Is this approach is correct?? please help me here.
