How do I get more voltage on an analog virtual output channel?

I am trying to get about 8 volts on an analog output channel. However, when I set the voltage to about 8 volts while testing the channel in the "Measurement and Automation Explorer", I only get a signal in millivolts (seen on my multimeter). I tried adjusting the scaling, but that did not work. I believe that I should be able to get a maximum of 10 volts out.

Which board are you using and how are you connecting your multimeter to measure the voltage? If you are using a MIO board, can you acquire voltage correctly?
