Getting started with PXIe-4300 in CVI

NI MAX (5.6.0f0) shows my backplane with several PXIe-4300 analog input cards working properly.

In LabWindows/CVI 2013.0.0, the DAQmx panels report no supported devices, although cDAQ devices show up if connected.

Does PXIe use some other method (VISA?) to configure, create channels, read data, etc.?  The application is a simple waveform recorder / analyzer.

PXIe Chassis do use VISA for comunication but with the 4300 and DAQmx that is abstracted out to higher level functions.  The functions you call in CVI to comunicate with PXIe 4300s will be almost the same as with your cDAQ modules.  Try using one of the C examples installed with DAQmx for starters.  

Side note:  cDAQ uses USB or ethernet and does not use VISA.
