DAQmx processing requirements

I have been attempting to run a script that does data acquisition, reading current spikes. Unfortunately the computer I would like to do the tests with cannot keep up with the data acquisition rate. I am looking into getting a new machine in order to do the required data analysis. Does anyone happen to know the requirements for a PC in order to keep up with a DAQmx USB 6009 device?

The 6009 is such a 'slow' card, that I assume your software is the bottleneck ...

I propose to post your code and a description what you need to measure/log 🙂

Even a moderate PC (~10a old, 2 processors, @1GHz) should be able to store the data from a USB 6009 and do a lot of data processing at the same time.
