Hello,
I'm using VI Logger together with simulated NI-DAQmx acquisition instruments, as an evaluation purpose for a future purchase of NI acquisition hardware.
I encountered a few major problems while using this software :
1./ VI Logger will randomly make the computer hang while acquisition tasks are running. The phenomenon doesn't seem to be linked with acquisition rate, because it even happens when trying to acquire 5 voltage channels at a 10Hz acquisition rate !
Data acquisition still seems to work (HD led blinks continuously), but screen is frozen and you can't clik on "Stop task".
2./ The "end time" of saved acquisition runs is wrong. "Start time" is ok, but "end time" will display weird dates in the future, or even "still running" (even though the task has been stopped). Thus, data export won't work properly.
3./ Now when i try to display saved acquisition data in MAX (in VI Logger section) computer really slows down, making MAX almost unusable.
I will probably uninstall and reinstall everything today.
Maybe all those issues are due to the use of simulated instruments ? I would be glad to know if anyone had such problems, or could explain what's happening.
My configuration :
IMB Thinkpad (Intel Pentium 1,4GHz + 512MB RAM + Win XP Pro SP1 fr)
MAX 3.1.1.3003
NI DAQmx 7.4.0f0
VI Logger 2.0.0 (evaluation mode till July 28th)
