Are you still having problems changing the range in MAX? Where are you trying to change the range? In the test panel you can highlight the Max and Min Input Range and then type in the range you want. This is the same for tasks and channels as well.
In Traditional DAQ, when you right click on your device and select properties, one of the properties is the range. Don't worry that you can't change this, you can change the range in the test panels, channels, LabVIEW, or whichever API you use to view the data.
