Did you mean:

Cannot locate Waveform Buffer Generation.vi

Hello,

There was a similar post, but there was no continuation to it, and the answer given wasnt helpful.

So, how do I locate it? When I tried to open a .vi file it tells me that, is there any downloads to it?

Thanks,

Andrew Chang

No link to this similar post nor any link to where you got this VI from. I have no idea what you talking about.

sorry, the link to the old post is here:

http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/Cannot-locate-Waveform-Buffer-Generation-vi/td-p/237409

and what i meant was that, when I was trying to open a vi file, LabVIEW couldnt find "Waveform buffer generation (multi).vi", thus making a block became not-usable(presented as a question mark in the block diagrams).

So I was just wondering if theres a download to it or something like that.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Andrew Chang

It's exactly where that posts says it is - assuming you have installed DAQmx.

Hi Andrew,

Keep in mind that that VI is part of an LLB, so using Windows to search for it might not come up with anything. You can try searching your hard drive for Utility.llb I found several copies in LabVIEW directories when I searched. One of them should contain the VI you're looking for.

I hope this helps,

Regards,

Thanks for your help!

I just pulled the example folder from another computer and it worked.
