Cannot configure a PXI/SCXI system using Online Product advisors service!

Hi!

I'm trying to configure a PXI/SCXI system on the online Online Product advisors service but the system doesn't let me use a M series daq board to control the scxi modules. My configuration is the following:

 - 1 x PXI 1052 chassis;

 - 1 x PXI-8196 controller;

 - 4 x SCXI 1520;

 - 2 x SCXI 1540;

 - 1 x PXI-6281 M;

 - 2 x PXI.6123 S.

The Online Product advisors service will let me configure this if I replace the the PXI-6281 M board for a PXI 6052 E. Why? Is it not possible to use the M series board to control the scxi?

Hi EPC-

The M Series PXI line was recently revised to provide for future compatibility with the new PXI Express architecture.  As a result, SCXI control was removed from the PXI-6281 board and several others.  If you would like to remain in the M Series line, the PXI-6221, -6229, -6251, -6259, and -6289 boards are available in both varations (i.e. with SCXI control and no PXIe compatibility OR without SCXI control and including PXIe compatibility).  Let me know if you need more information about part numbers for a particular DAQ device.
