Cannot Simulate Devices in MAX

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi All,

Currently trying to simulate the PCI-6503 using MAX, and when I expand the "Devices and Interfaces" tree, I see no options to create any simulated device. Software I have installed is:

1) DAQmx 9.9

2) MAX 5.6

3) Labview 2012 Evaluation Version - I used to have the full version, but my license just expired so now it is in evaluation mode.

4) NI VISA 5.2

I have been able to simulate devices in the past no problem, and haven't changed anything software wise on my computer until upgrading DAQmx yesterday to see if that's what was causing the problem (apparently it wasn't Smiley Sad ) Anything I'm missing here?

Thanks in advance!

can you right click and hit "create" and then create a simulated device using the dialog that appears?

Seems like a silily question, but did you reboot after installing? Can you expand the Software section in MAX and see what DAQmx version is there?

Let's try...Under Tools try to reset your DAQmx data.

Hello,

In my new windows 10 computer, I was not able to simulate DAQ device even after resetting the configuration data.

Please find the attached screen shot with PC details and NI MAX.
