Hi dsmith,

I don't recommend you to use the digital lines on a multifunction board for this kind of application. The reason is, that the DIO lines on MIO boards are static I/O's. They are SW timed, so you've no quarantee for an exact pulse generation. I recommend you to use the counters on your MIO board. The counters output a HW timed pulse train, that's much more precise. There are some examples for this kind of application which are installed by NI-DAQ. Just open the example finder and search for "pulse".
Check this too: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/devzone.nsf/webcategories/FF385ADC3E7A8C8A8625679000743B6F

Important: MIO boards have the DAQ-STC chip.

Hope this helps.

That is what I thought was the case with the DIO and current have an app that I switch from DIO to counters for higher switching speeds. Thanks for the reply.
