MY Digital lines (0,3) work well for input and output, rest of the lines do not work well for inputs by work well for output line. i have changed the card also. what the problem is unchanged. i have also used sample c code downloaded from net. is there a problem in the sytem or why am i getting a unusal behavior of the card.

I can't think of a reason why that is happening. A ultimate test would be to run one of the NI-DAQ shipping examples that you can find at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\examples\VisualC\DI and DO.
That is the best way to start the investigation for the root cause of the problem.
