AT-MIO 16H 9 not detected by the examples

I have downloaded the 480.zip file with the necessary libraries for DOS application development with Borland C++.
The sample DOS programs do not detect my at-mio 16h 9 board, although it is correctly installed (under win98).I tested it with daqconfig for windows and labview.
Do I need additional drivers for DOS, or a different library ?
