ni7340

I want to use NI7340 4axis motion card with IAI Pulse controller for my project.According to IAI drive its need 24vdc for control signals.

I am using PCON-PLB controller for this project.

I am worried that NI not suitable this project due to 5V control signal from NI.

Any one help to advise how to use IAI pulse controller with NI Motion cards.

Below is the Link of IAI Controller. Also attach the connection diagram of I/O for easy reference.

All PCs have just 3.3 or 5VDC (and +/- 12VDC) power supplies, and their circuitry runs on 3.3/5VDC. You will hardly find any PC based control system which has 24VDC level outputs.

Using an opto-isolator and some other parts it is no problem to build a 5VDC to 24VDC converter for the outputs. Suppliers of components for control equipment, such as Phoenix of Germany, have ready-to-use modules allowing to control a 24VDC line with a 5VDC (TTL) level output. Of course you will also need an external 24VDC power supply.
