Hi!

I'm using a 6SE7011 driver connected to a 1FK7 motor. I am trying the following to connect to it, although it does not work.

What sort of cable did you use? Was it the commom RS232 cable?

Hi Dservo

I assume you have troubles with the PKW and PZD areas in your telegram. Take a look at the following documentation from Siemens and change accordingly on your inverter so you can change Integer or float parameters in EEPROM or RAM.

Still having some issues thou,.. It seems that PKW does not like to modify,... reads OK but when I switch to modify no go,.. Any other thoughts would be helpful,.

I used to have same kind of troubles. The issue was that I was trying to modify a parameter that isdefinded as Int16 and I was trying to write a float on the parameter.
It helped me a lot to handbuild my telegram and then send it via a Serial terminal (here you have a good one: http://www.opend.co.za/software/terminal/index.htm). Maybe that could help you.

I am working on a project. I want to connect 6RA70 with Labview. Do u know anything about it. Basically, I want to run it completly through Labview. And the Drive would run the motor on the given formula, and automatically take input from drive on the basis of formula

I would kindly ask you for opening a new thread regarding your particular issue. I recommend you also to specify what is your goal (controlling Siemens drive from LabVIEW?) and perhaps what issues are you getting into.

Is some hardware needed to connect it with?
