USS protocol library

Hi Flo, i'm working with a micromaster 440 for my thesis.
Now i have to make it work with labview, i've tried several things but i don't get a connection.
Maybe also a part of the problem is i use a serial to USB convertor.
But in the measurement and automation explorer from labview it finds it under com 6.
do u have something like a vi i can use ?
And maybe some explaining with it ?

Thank u.
Dennis

Dear Dennis1,

Can you specify what type of serial converter are you using? I mean what type of serial communication?

It's with the normal RS232 cable, but i hafe a serial to USB converter in my PC, because we don't have a serial port on this pc (it's crazy but it's Greek 🙂 )

The usage of general USB - serial converters are usually transparent for the user, I guess our problem is not that 🙂 Are you able to communicate with the device using the original software?

yes I was able to communicate with it using the original software,
but it seems very unstable, slow responding, and disconnecting all the time.

but now we moved on with another idea, just use analog outputs from labview to controll it.
It`s much more stable and faster.
