We have an old, dying computer (P4, running Windows 2000) with a PCI-7344 (Firmware 5.11) in our lab. We use it to control a few motors in a material testing machine with a program made in LabVIEW 6i. I'd like to install the PCI card in a newer computer with XP, but I'm worried about breaking compatibility with the program. According to NI MAX (2.1.3.14), the old computer has:
LabVIEW Run-Time 5.1, 5.1.1, and 6.0
ValueMotion 5.0
FlexMotion 5.1.1
NI-VISA 2.5
I don't know much about drivers and Flexmotion, but I am correct in that, if I:
Install the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 6.1
Install NI-Motion 6.1 (or 6.1.2 or 6.1.5)
Install NI-MAX 2.1
Put the PCI card in an open slot
It should work? Unfortuantly our original CDs with Labview and NI-Motion are long gone. I found the LabVIEW run-time online, but I can't find a version of NI-Motion older than 7.5 (only updates from 6.1 to 6.1.2 ect.) Is there anywhere I could find NI-Motion 6? I'm completely out of my depth, and would appreciate any ideas.

Hi Rush_Ortho,
Do you know if you have SSP (Standard Service Program) with NI? The reason I ask is that if you do, you will be able to have access to older versions of software. Unfortunately, if you do not and you do not have your disks, there really isn’t a way to access the older software versions.
