Motion control of Panasonic Servo motor using labview

Hi;

We have Panasonic Minas A5 servo motor and related driver and also NI cRIO 9076, NI 9930 motion control accesories, NI 9512 card for motion control for a project. The entire system is new for us.  We want to control the rpm of the motor and display its performance but we are new to the whole system and labview, we even don't know where to start and how to start. The system is ready to operate. Could anyone help us to start programming our system or show us a way?

Thank you

Hello Aeezg,

A good place to get started is the SoftMotion getting started guide:

http://www.ni.com/white-paper/9666/en/

This goes through all the basic steps of configuring your motion system and shows you how to test the motor/encoder/drive.

For programming in LabVIEW, the example finder has some good places to start. Go to Help->Find Examples and look under Hardware Inputs and Outputs->Motion Control->CompactRIO->NI 9512->Stepper Intervace (9512).lvproj.

Other useful examples can be found under the Hardware Inputs and Outputs->Motion->NI Softmotion->Express VIs.

Hopefully this is enough information to get you started.

Best of luck!
