Connecting to Kollmorgen AKD

Solved!
Go to solution

Dear all,

I'm  having some issues trying to connection to a Kollmorgen AKD P00306.

For setting up the drive i've used the following guides step by step.

http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/375516b.pdf

and

http://www.kollmorgen.com/uploadedFiles/Products/Drives/AC_Servo_Drives/AKD/AKD_Manuals/903-200006-0...

I have disabled both my anti-virus (AVG) and windows firewall.

Using the Kollmorgen Workbench i've tried to manually add the drive, but without any luck. I can't ping the device through the command prompt either.

I'm connecting to the drive using a simple switch (TP-link) and the IP address of the drive is manually set to 192.168.0.11 (which i'm using in Workbench without any luck).

I have - of course - tried connecting directly to the drive without any luck either.

The IP address (IPv4) of the PC is manually set to 10.0.0.1 and subnet 255.255.0.0, which is used for connecting to a cRIO also on the network.

One of the LEDs of the drives RS-45 port is lighting green permanently (no blinking) and only one LED is ligting (no activity indicated).

Any pointers of what i can do to solve this problem?

Best regards,

JZaulich

Problem solved: Devices had to be on same subnet even though I manually added the device using assigned IP.
