Brushless DC Motor control using myRIO

Hi all,

I am farely new to using LabVIEW/myRIO and need guidance on how to control a Crouzet brushless dc geared motor 80 189 704 it is supposed to be relatively simple as it has built in electronic control. I do have an 15V external power supply unit but havent used LabVIEW before. From what I can gather, I only need to control the on/off, reverse/forward, and 0-10V speed set point. If someone could direct me with the programming it would be great cheers.

Hey Zane123,

You should be able to use a DIO and FPGA to output the PWM signal you need.

There's plenty of advice out there. If you're very new to LabVIEW try the Getting Started Tutorials. For content more specific to your project the Brushless DC Motor Control and Simulation Content page should point you in the right direction.

There's a wide LabVIEW community to help out so try a search of the forums or even looking to youtube etc. for ideas on how other people have implemented these projects.
