At the end of the meeting, we brought up some changes to the types of licenses available from NI. Instead of making this a topic by itself at the next user group, I feel like this is better addressed via the community forums. The major changes include: Inclusion of popular, previously separate toolkits into LabVIEW envrironment. As of LabVIEW 2014, PID is now included with LabVIEW Full. Database Connectivity, Report Generation, VI Analyzer, and others are now in LabVIEW Pro. There are others now included with RT and FPGA as well. These are streamlined for these applicaiton types and are cheaper than Developer Suite with the options you would typically add for them.
