Did you mean:

I installed the NI-6601 Timer/Counter software and hardware.

I run couple examples written in Visual Basic provided with NI-DAQ..
I got the same error message:
"CWCounter.Configure"
Does anyone know why and how to get the problem resolved?
Thank you for help.

Diepni:

What version of ComponentWorks do you have? Since the NI-6601 board came out after ComponentWorks 2.X, that version of ComponentWorks does not support the NI-6601. Support was added for this board in ComponentWorks 3.0.

If you would prefer, you could instead program your 6601 directly with NI-DAQ from Microsoft Visual Basic. NI-DAQ ships with some Microsoft Visual Basic examples you may be interested in. A number of these examples are written specifically for the TIO ASIC on your 6601 board and can be found under NI-DAQ\Examples\VBasic\Ctr.

There has been a number of enhancements added to version 3.0 of ComponentWorks. You can read more about these differences at the following URL.

If you are interested in upgrading, please go to our Upgrade Advisor (http://www.ni.com/advisor), or contact your National Instruments Sales Representative.

I hope this helps,
