SampleQuantityMode

Hi,

I am using MS 8.0 and MS.Net 2005 to doing a DAQ project. Now I need this function. that is I need channel 1,2,3 to do conituous DAQ and channel 4 to do finite DAQ. Could I set property SampleQuantityMode for each channel with different Sample Quantity Mode in one task? Thank you very much!

Hi YHong -

There is only one AI timing engine on any of our DAQ devices, and this must be shared by all input channels.  Because of this, you can only specify one type of acquisition timing (finite or continous) at a time.  So you won't be able to acquire continuously on three channels and finite-ly on a fourth.  Workarounds include either using a second DAQ device or keeping only the data you need from channel four.
