How to awoid plotting gaps in the data?

I have a time series of data which I am plotting using a ScatterGraph, and the data points are connected with lines.

If there is a gap in the time series of data, e.g. no data for hours/days, the ScatterGraph plots a line "over the gap", making it hard to see that we are missing data...

Any suggestion on how to not draw a line between some slected data points?
