Graph's panning and zoom animation are very slow in Vista..

Hello,

Panning and zoom animation are very slow in scatter and waveform graphs in Windows Vista.

Zoom animation is of course not mandatory but panning is better to work little faster..?

Have you noticed the same? I have not this problem in XP.

Could you clarify what you mean by the panning an zooming features are slow on Vista? I played around with zooming and panning running several shipping examples and had no problems. Are you running in Debug or Release configuration?

What happens if you open an graph shipping examples (any one) and try to zoom and pan? Do you see the slowness there?

Hello Jonathan,

I made some new trials also with NI examples. It seems that the zoom animation is always going in visible steps in Vista; not as smooth as in XP. (both debug and release). The “ImmediateUpdates = true” option will not help. But this is absolute no problem, I just turned the animation off.

Panning is OK in NI examples.. in my program the problem was bigger amount of data. I noticed that it is slow in XP too (= the curves will not follow the hand cursor smoothly)
