I'm thinking the answer is no, but are National Instruments drivers, libraries, and software FIPS compliant?

Measurement Studio should be FIPS Compliant as of Version 8.6. As for the Drivers and other Libraries, it is not certain.

Has there been any progress in the past 4 years regarding FIPS 140-2 Encryption Standard compliance of NI software?  Namely those listed below, but possibly others in the Control Test Plus EA Bundle.

     - NI LabVIEW NXG 2.0 COM Plugin

     - NI LabVIEW NXG 2.0 Features for TestStand

     - NI LabVIEW NXG 2.1 MSI

     - NI LabVIEW NXG 2.1 Run-Time Engine

     - NI Package Manager 18.5

The little bit I've been able to find on the NI website suggests to just simply "turn FIPS off" as the fix.  Which is not something we are allowed to do.  Our computer security department is preparing to block all computers running the NI software listed above.
