Unable to communicate with device NI 9205

I got this message when setup the NI 9205 before reading data from it

DAQmx Error: Device to which the sensor is attached does not have an available internal excitation source.

Select another device with an available internal excitation source or supply external excitation.

I think the error you are experiencing is similar to the one discussed in this forum post: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Signal-Conditioning/SG24/m-p/239213

Make sure you are selecting the analog input on your DAQ Module (NI 9205), and not the one on your cDAQ chassis (NI cDAQ-9181).
