Torque sensor connection to a DAQ

Hello Everyone,

I have a torque sensor and I'm planning on creating DYNO for our small engine. I'm fairly new to signal conditioning and analysis so I'm looking to get a hand on how to connect this torque sensor to a DAQ. I have a fair bit of understanding about analog and digital signals. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Julius

Hi Julius,

What sort of DAQ are you looking to interface with?

Attached is the DAQ data sheet.

The excitation voltage is from 11 - 26V, I'm supplying it with a 12+ VDC power source. However the output is +-5V. How does this affect my result?

How are you planning to configure your system? Is the power supply going to be running directly to the torque sensor, or are there other components involved?

With respect to your output, it sounds like the bigger cause of concern would be noise in the 6008’s readings. Do you have an idea of the accuracy you are shooting for?
