sony dfw-x710 black screen

Hello All,

I am trying to deal with the stuff left by my collegue. Really this is first time I am looking for Vision.

Perhaps my question will look very simple but still I cannot overcome it.

So we have sony dfw-x710 and MAX v4.7. Camera is detected by WinXP and MAX (see att)

When I click Snap/Grab camera changes light from green to orange but I see only black screen (see att).

Does anyone know how to deal with it. Please help. Myself I have no idea.

It looks like the camera is acquiring an image, but it is all black.

Do you have a lens on the camera?  Is the cover removed from the end of the lens?  Try pointing it at a bright light while using Grab.  Make sure the aperture on the lens is open.

Oh dear!

Of course camera has lense, cover removed.

But once I rotated the lens ring I got instead black screen a clear image.
