What's wrong with this image?

I've inherited several identical machines with Basler Scout IEEE 1394b Area Scan Cameras, but I'm getting two different types of image.  I don't know what's different in the software, and I'm not sure I have the version that makes the nicer of the two images.

I like the top one.  My operators like it, which makes my chain-of-command like it.  What do I need to do to get it?  Here's the Vision Acquisition Express VI:
