I am measuring colors with NI Vision Builder. Currently I measure Hue average from white LED/spot and it gives about 10. This same comes from red LED/spot and it is definitely not allowed to pass the test. Is there any better method than Hue average mesurement to separate white from other colors?
The problem is the hue for red is 0, which is the same as white. You need to check the saturation value as well. It will be 0 for white and large for red.
I still have a problem how to get that saturation measurement out using LabVIEW calls. I get only Hue AVG value out from the Step Results in LV. Do I need to add steps to vision builder or in LV? In VB I can see the saturation measurement value if i go into Measure Colors steps. See my attachments.
