Shape-Based 3D Matching

Hi

I was wondering if anyone has some information available(tutorial, example,...) about 3D Vision and Shape based or Surface based matching with a CAD model?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I have found some examples that may help you, please have a look at these.

Pattern Matching Example

Colour Pattern Matching Example

3D Imaging with LabVIEW

This may be more for general interest, as opposed to information for your specific application, but our customers commonly interface SoftMotion with SolidWorks. Here's some documentation.

NI SoftMotion for SolidWorks - DAQ

If you'd like more of an overview, here's a page which describes the different ways that LabVIEW can be used with Mechanical Design tools such as CAD:

http://www.ni.com/labview/design/mechanical.htm

Also, if you haven't seen these already, there's some forum posts that you may find useful:

I hope this information is helpful to you. I wish you all the best with your application.

Additionally (although from a 3rd party), there is also some information on a 3D-Machine Vision Library for NI LabVIEW at the following page from the AQSENSE website:
