Regions to ignore created in NI Vision Assistant

I have created a Template Image for Pattern matching using NI vision assistant. In the template editor I have drawn regions to ignore and my plan is to use this template image in another VI.

Is this a good idea, are the Regions to Ignore stored in the png-file?

Hi Ola,

Using Vision Assistant, pattern matching is saved in the image file.

"When you create a pattern matching template in Vision Assistant or Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI), there is extra information saved in addition to the image itself. This includes overlay information, pattern matching template information, and calibration information. This information lets LabVIEW, Vision Assistant, or Vision Builder know how the template was learned."

However, as mentioned in the link above, this information is not transferred when opening this template with "IMAQ ReadFile VI" from LabVIEW.
