Record Section IMAQdx and Frames per second

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi

I have attached the vi I have for recording a section of video from a grab of a USB camera. However, once I get the avi file it has broken links and won't play. I am also trying to manually set the frames per second with the input I have but I'm not sure where I went wrong as the readout is not correct.

I've attached the vi I'm using.

Thanks for any input.

Hello goldfronts,

What do you mean by broken links?

Have you tried the Grab and Save to AVI example?
If you want to change the frame rate of the camera and the AVI file, you can use the instructions in the following link:

After I click record and the .avi is saved. I try to play it and get an error that there are broken links to the file. The file does not play properly.

Also I need the record button as I want to be able to focus my image and then start recording later. Not once the vi is running.

Hello goldfronts,

It appears as though you are creating two AVI files. Do both AVI files break?
If you use the example, does the output AVI file break? This step will help point us towards the root cause.
