NI Vision Builder: calculating orientation of the component relative to the first image in degrees

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all

I have a query regarding a component of an aircraft. There's 9 images of the component with and without defects. I would like to kindly request for some guidance to calculate the orientation of the component to the first image in degrees*.

All advice will be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks guys

PS: if you require further detail, please let me know and I will extend my post.

What version of VBAI do you have?

Have you taken a look at the examples?

Depending on what shape is the component you're observing you have different strategies available to you to calculate orientation, can you show your images?

you know ther is several method to find orientation I point some of them

1 optical flow

2 find specific object in image and try to pattern match or geometry matching or color pattern matching

3 use ssim mechanical operators

Yes, Hatef. I would like to know how to take the second approach please where you have to find the specific object and try to match. Thanks for your advice!

you can do it manual means select some particle that are detectable by color or intensity or shape

otherwise you can use so,e ,method like histogram to analysis where is the object to make it template for this propose

Will you be able to explain it further step by step please? New to vision builder and I'm still getting my head around how it works.
