Manta G-235C Cameras and MAX

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello: I have 2 new Manta 235C cameras installed on a Ni PCIe-8233 Adapter. Both found and function as expected under Allied Vision Vimba Viewer. When I run NI Max, camera 1 functions great, but the other gives a timeout error 0xbff6901b. Windows firewall is off. Any suggestions?

Have you set them in different IP ranges?

Hello:

I have the IP addresses set up as follows:

Camera 0: 169.254.100.2, 255.255.255.0; Adapter 0: 169.254.100.1

Camera 1: 169.254.200.2, 255.255.255.0; Adapter 1: 169.254.200.1

Both cameras show up in MAX with the above IP's

you also can chech that both ports are configured to use NI GigE Vision driver, this is in Windows network settings, you have to select the driver manually :

Hello again:

Went thru all the steps in the document and nothing solved the problem.

I went into MAx to see what, if any differences were in the settings between the 2 cameras. The second camera, the one giving the timeout error was set up under acquisition and the acquisition mode was set to MultiFrame. I set this back to Continuous and now everything works fine.

Thanks for all your help
