Image processing on 3D point Cloud

Please find attached images in which I have plotted a x,y and z data to get the 3D image.

How can I calculate the area of the trolley which is shown inside the big black box and there is one object on the trolley and I need to calculate the atea of that trolley too.

can you give more Details please? Like what Software are you using? LabView with Vision Development Module, Vision Assistant...??
