IMAQdx attributes listed in xml file not found in labview

Hi,

Some attributes of my camera our shown in the camera's software (DALSA CamExpert) but aren't displayed in MAX.

When I open the xml file I do not see a difference between the shown and hidden attributes.

Why doesn't LabView display all possible attributes?

Does the sml file has specific requirements?

Any ideas?

What camera are you using? Can you post the XML file and the names of the features you are unable to access?

Hello Eric,

I fixed the problem yesterday!

I'm using a DALSA camera. The Dalsa software downloads the XML file and saves it in a 'dalsa' directory on my local disk.

National instruments software (MAX) downloaded the XML file and saves it in an other directory. The 2 files weren't equal. I replaced the NI XML file with the Dalsa XML file and now I'm able to get all attributes.

Hi Kim,

It is possible that the Dalsa software had an updated XML file built-into the software that was being used instead of the one onboard the camera. You could possibly check with Dalsa if they have a firmware update for the camera that can update the onboard one to the same version so then the camera will work out-of-the-box in the future.
