I "just" installed vison toolkit in LV2011 to get the digits information on LCD panel.
As a starting point, I opened "LCD example" and was modifying.
However, ROI seemed to be important concept in vision.
Do ROI should be measured relative to top-letf postion?
However, can you tell me how can I check ROI in the image.
Enclosed is the example for overlay of ROI on the imagge.
I wanted to set the whole/part of region as the initial ROI then tried to check if "get LCD ROI.vi" is working rightly.
but it failed to display the initial ROI on the image.
How can I fill out the ROI descriptor to set a region on the image?

*)Additional question: from a example code, I found initial ROI should be set properly to identify the numbers.
Can you tell me the following...?
1) rule of thumb to set ROI on an image for good recognition of numbers. (for example, only digit area...)
2) can I make the code for finding the initial ROI (related to well-recognition) automatically?
Go to Solution.
I found the problem was solved after rebooting and I would like to get the reply on the additional question.
>from a example code, I found initial ROI should be set properly to identify the numbers.
In my example code, how can I enhance the reliability in detection?
Changed the idea to OCR.
Do not try with 7digit LED functions.. Can be applied for very limited image.
I have the same problem.Thanks!
