ERROR -1074364385 No License for NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras

Hello,

I have problem on WIN XP machine where I program with VB6 and NI Vision Acquisition 8.6 and NI Vision Development 8.6.

I can normally wok with cameras in NI MAX without any problem and all licenses in license manager are OK.

When I start app in VB6 at point of camera initialization I get following error: ERROR -1074364385 No License for NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras.

Any idea how to diagnose reason for that?

My guess: In case you activated your licenses using an internet connection something might have gone wrong within the License Manager itself.  (I had a similar issue in february.) The NI support advised me to install a current version of the License Manager.  That solved my issue.  (Thanks for the tip to the NI support again.)

MAX - as far as I know - does not check any vision license  ==  It is no miracle that your camera operates in MAX  🙂

I have solved that issue with complete reinstall of NI Vision Acquisition CD. After reinstall process it works OK.
