Creation of temperature scale for Infrared Camera FLIR A315

Hi,

We are using FLIR A315, we want to create auto temp scale as shown in the attachment.

Please suggest how to create this functional scale.

We are using FLIR ThermoVision Lab view toolkit 3.3 along with lavbview suit 2012 and IMAQ.

Hello,

how about using the intensity graph with custom autoscale (depends on your current measured min and max value):

Please see the attachment saved for Labview 2012 (and thank you for specifying the Labview version in your entry post - its a rare thing these days :)).

Hope this helps you in some way.

Best regards,

K

Hi,

We are getting 16 bit unsigned monochrome image from our infrared camera -> then we are using inbuilt color pallet option to do pseudo color of the incoming image, we are also getting max and minimum temperature available in the image.

Our question how to relate this pallet with the scale instead of three custom defined color, please contribute.

Hello,

i do not quite understand what are you trying to do...

Are you looking for a custom color gradient from your min to your max value?

I am attaching a .vi where you can select colors and assign their values and then generate this gradient scale.

If I do not understand correctly, I am sure someone else will (aand will help you with your problem) 🙂

Best regards,

K

-It is not only three custom defined color, you have scale also there.
Your scale range is from your min value(33) to max value(219).So it is not only color scale defined by three colors, based on your values it will show different color.
-For creating custom defined color scales please check here https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-9294
-If your problem is not solved, please give us more details.
Thanks

I am trying to do the same thing

Did you ever find a good way to do this

I would like to have the scale change to match the pallet

THERE IS TWO WAY FOR THIS REASON

first read data sheet about the camera and find what is max temp that your camera could read under saturation mode also check if gamma is linear or not
then you can convert intensity value to temp
second is to use one heater in same distance of your subject and increase it temp until your camera reach to saturation mode so max temp it in this mode now just test if half of temp is exactly half of ccd intensity value ( for temp camera almost is ) so your gamma is linear otherwise to have to find the gamma function in the manual to get right temp best on intensity of image
